Are you a researcher or a professional communicator? Then you are invited to apply for funding for various communication formats that bring scientific knowledge to life for a wide audience. The deadline for submission of applications is 1 September 2025.

The Carlsberg Foundation wants to make science and its importance relevant and accessible for everyone in Denmark.

The foundation is therefore offering funding for initiatives that will create stronger ties between science and society and make scientific knowledge more accessible to the general public.

The aim is to enhance public discussion and qualify the debate on complex themes that rely on scientific insight. At the same time, the foundation wants to strengthen the collaboration between researcher and professional communicators – and in so doing build a bridge between the research community and other players in Denmark.

The funding is being offered through the Science Communication and Carlsberg Mindelegat instruments.

While the Science Communication instrument is aimed at professional communicators who have documented experience of designing and executing major communication projects, researcher can apply to the Carlsberg Mindelegat instrument for funding to communicate their own research.

The deadline for submission of applications is 1 September 2025.

Applicants must have documented professional experience of communication. It is also a requirement that the project should involve collaboration with researchers who either contribute directly to the communication or quality-assure the finished production.

Carlsberg Mindelegat

The Carlsberg Mindelegat instrument is open to applications from researchers for the communication of their own research intended for non-scientific audiences. Applications can be made for up to DKK 200,000, and the communication may be independently defined or form part of a larger project.
