Carlsberg A/S, the Carlsberg Foundation and the Tuborg Foundation donates DKK 75 million to humanitarian relief efforts in Ukraine

The DKK 75 million is donated through the Danish branches of recognized international aid organisations, including Danish Red Cross, with the purpose to support the relief efforts for the victims. The means are targeted people who are fleeing and people who continue to stay in Ukraine.

The Carlsberg Foundation and the Tuborg Foundation contribute DKK 50 million and Carlsberg A/S contributes DKK 25 million.

With this donation, the Carlsberg Family wants to take shared responsibility for the extensive humanitarian efforts, which are needed now and in the coming months.

“The situation in Ukraine is absolutely horrifying and becomes extremely critical day by day. In this highly extraordinary situation, we have decided to offer an immediate contribution to the humanitarian efforts focused on the many people who are affected”, states the Chairwoman of the Carlsberg Foundation, Professor Majken Schultz.

The Carlsberg Foundation is one of the world’s oldest enterprise foundations. The purpose of the Foundation is to distribute the return on its shareholding in Carlsberg A/S to support excellent Danish research within natural science, social science, and the humanities, and as the principal shareholder to ensure value creation in the brewery Carlsberg A/S.

The Tuborg Foundation is a charitable organisation under the Carlsberg Foundation. The Tuborg Foundation specifically aims to connect civil society and the business community. The Foundation is funded by the Carlsberg Foundation and the distribution funds are derived from the return on shares in Carlsberg A/S.
