The Carlsberg Foundation hereby calls for proposals for candidates for the Carlsberg Foundation Research Prizes 2025. Proposals should be submitted by 17 February 2025. The prize-giving ceremony will take place at New Carlsberg Glyptotek on 3 September.
Since 2011, the Carlsberg Foundation has annually awarded research prizes to two researchers who have made a vital contribution to basic research and enjoy a high level of scientific recognition, one within the sphere of natural sciences and one within the sphere of the humanities/social sciences.
The Carlsberg Foundation is now calling for proposals for potential recipients of the research prizes 2025. All proposals will be assessed by a Prize Committee consisting of researchers from Denmark and abroad. The committee will nominate the two recipients of the research prizes to the Carlsberg Foundation’s board of directors.
The deadline for submitting proposals is 17 February 2025.
About the Carlsberg Foundation Research Prizes
In 2025, the Carlsberg Foundation Research Prizes will be awarded for the fourteenth time to two outstanding researchers. The prizes were introduced in 2011 to mark the bicentenary of the birth of brewer J.C. Jacobsen and have been awarded every year since (with the exception of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic).
This year’s prizes will be presented on 3 September at the Carlsberg Foundation’s prize-giving ceremony at New Carlsberg Glyptotek.
Each prize amounts to DKK 2 million, of which DKK 1.5 million is given for research activities and DKK 500,000 as an honorary gift.
