Publication of the contributions presented at the conference Karia and the Dodekanese at the Danish Institute at Athens 24-26 January 2018

Karia in south-western Turkey and the Dodekanese Island in the south-eastern Aegean were closely connected by maritime communication in Antiquity and a rich commercial and cultural interchange took place, which has not always been fully acknowledged by scholars of Classical Antiquity. At the Athens conference scholars from 11 countries doing research in this area came together and exchanges ideas and presented their new research. Their papers are now being published in two volumes by the grant form the Carlsberg Foundation and is expected to come out in late 2020 or early 2021.
