Type of grant

Research Infrastructure

Summary

This infrastructure grant allows the purchase of climate chambers in which CO2 concentration, temperature, light and humidity can be controlled. Chambers like this can be used to conduct experiments with plants and mini-ecosystems to study how climate change affects ecosystem functions. We need mechanistic understanding to be able to predict plant and ecosystem responses to changes in the environment and climate.
