What?

The proposed project seeks to increase the survival of patients with a type of incurable brain tumor, called Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), by re-purposing the patients immunesystem to recognize and kill their tumor.

Why?

GBM is the most common type of malignant brain tumor in adults. The prognosis for patients with GBM remains exceedingly poor, with a 5-year survival rate of less than 10%, clearly highlighting an unmet need for development of new therapeutic options for these patients.

How?

The project will be performed at Regensburg Center for Interventional Immunology, University of Regensburg, Germany, who is one of the leading institutions within the field.
