Summary
The aim of this project is to analyze gene expression profiles of key genes in different fish species. The purpose is to investigate physiological changes in individual organisms under different environments to give an accurate picture of the biological pathways and mechanisms involved in the response of the organisms to these environmental changes. Ongoing studies target fish both in nature, addressing issues related to climate change and in captivity, in relation with aquaculture. This Real-Time quantitative PCR instrument will enable us to perform molecular analysis of in different fish species under various environmental conditions in a cost-effective manner.
