Summary
Social dilemmas are situations in which self-interest (and sometimes group interest) is at odds with collective interests, within or across generations (e.g., environmental and climate change). To solve such large-scale global challenges, humans need to solve the underlying social dilemmas by joint cooperative behaviours. In July 2021, the International Conference on Social Dilemmas will be held at the University of Copenhagen. This interdisciplinary conference will bring together international researchers from various disciplines, such as psychology, economics, and anthropology, to present and discuss recent research aimed at better understanding and solving social dilemmas.
