Enhancing Climate Action beyond the State

As acknowledged by the literature, the role and potential of non-state and subnational actors has become increasingly important in bridging governance gaps and enhancing climate action. The Fourth International TRAMEREN conference seeks to explore how non-state actors can enhance climate action. The conference is organized around six panels: Civil Society: Business and Industry: Regional/International Organizations and Regimes: Sub-state Governments, Cities and Municipalities: Courts, including the role of constitutional and human rights: And Universities and Epistemic Communities. This interdisciplinary conference will stir the interest of scholars, policymakers, stakeholders and students, all of which are crucial in defining a way forward in global climate governance.
