Summary

Arctic regions are strongly affected by global climate change: shifts in the Arctic fauna and flora are many and evident. The main mission of the Natural History Museum of Denmark (NHMD) is to document and describe global biodiversity, where Danish Arctic is a priority area. In light of rapid environmental changes already happening and foreseen for the Arctic, a cross-disciplinary team of researchers covering terrestrial and marine life, aims to sample biodiversity in selected habitats in the Disko Bay area, in an attempt to catch a snapshot of the ecosystem before the expected major climate-changes affect biodiversity in Western Greenland
