Summary
We will purchase a 950 MHz 1H/13C/31P triple-resonance liquid-state NMR probe that allows for experiments offering a quantum leap in sensitivity and information content over currently available experimental setups due to its technical advances and the use of state-of-the-art NMR instrumentation at Aarhus University. In recent years, we have established NMR-based lipidomics in food science, but with the wish to move into lipidomics in relation to disease, the unique properties of the new instrumentation are required to identify and quantify hundreds of different lipids encountered in the human lipidome.
