Summary
The 10th Conference of the International Association of Manichaean Studies (IAMS) deals with all aspects of Manichaeism and especially the Manichaean reception of biblical texts. The conference takes place at Aarhus University 9–12 August 2021 with international keynote speakers. Manichaeism was religion which from its beginning in Mesopotamia in the third century AD spread to East and West, reaching Europe and China, and existed for more than a millennium. Today, Manichaean manuscripts have been discovered in Egypt and Central Asia, and Manichaean studies thus unite scholars working in numerous different fields, e.g., Art History, Historical studies in Christianity and other religions, and Philology in a great number of ancient languages from Europe, Africa and Asia.
