Summary
We will build and launch a satellite that can monitor the effect of climate changes in Greenland. The state-of-the-art satellite will not only provide valuable scientific observations of how the increasing ocean temperatures accelerate the melting of glaciers in Greenland. It will also produce candidates with competances that are high in demand in the Danish space industry, increase the interest in STEM education in general and strengthen the participating universities' collaboration with the industry. The satellite is part of the Danish Student CubeSat Program (DISCO), which is a collaboration between Aarhus University, Aalborg University, University of Southern Denmark, the IT University and the European Space Education Resource Office.
