Summary
In this project we will investigate the atmospheric degradation of CFC alternatives used in refrigeration, as foam-blowing agents, fire extinguishing chemicals, aerosol propellants, in cleaning, drying and as heat transfer compounds and dielectrics. Due to their contribution to the forcing of climate change, some of the second-generation CFC alternatives are now being banned and alternatives to these former alternatives are now being investigated. In broad terms, our research can be described as investigations of more climate-friendly chemical compounds. We do this in collaboration with large international companies such as 3M, Honeywell and Dupont. In addition, Danish companies, such as Danfoss, show increasing interest in our research.
