Summary
"Mass spectrometry is one of pillars of modern chemistry. We will use a multifunctional mass spectrometer for identification and characterisation of small molecules that play important roles in chemistry, biology and pharmacy. With this new infrastructure, we will be able to smoothly and efficiently purify and identify numerous synthetic molecules, natural products and biomolecules. The operational simplicity of this analytical platform will enable a widespread use by many researchers. The multifunctional mass spectrometer will contribute to excellent research and education in chemistry, medicinal chemistry and pharmacy students at SDU. This quality will be translated across Danish academic excellence and pharmaceutical industry."
