Summary
The workshop explores the political economy of digital markets by revisiting what came before and asking what might come after. By bringing together a select group of established and upcoming researchers from the field of media studies, anthropology, and sociology, we aim to rethink the relationship between digital markets and political economy to foster interdisciplinary research on data economies through well-established and novel concepts. This workshop is organized by Eva Iris Otto and Morten Axel Pedersen (Copenhagen Centre for Social Data Science (SODAS) and Department of Anthropology, University of Copenhagen) as well as Andreas Lindegaard Gregersen, Anne Mette Thorhauge, and Jacob ørmen (Center for Tracking & Society, Department of Communication, University of Copenhagen).
