Summary
Chemical synthesis is a central task in chemistry and microwaves are used for fast and intense heating of all kinds of reactions. Microwave assisted synthesis is performed in a microwave reactor with full control over temperature and pressure, and this equipment can support a broad range of research involving preparation of new molecules. For instance, the technique is crucial for our research towards new antibiotics, therapeutic artificial DNA-molecules, and molecular machines.
