Women Mathematicians in Sciences

Women Mathematicians are brilliant. In 2022, Maryna Viazovska from Ukraine received Fields Medal (described as the Nobel Prize of Mathematics). Every year, women mathematicians make significant achievements in their own research fields and being awarded by various of prizes and prestigious fundings such as ERC grants. However, women Mathematicians are extremely rare. To improve this situation and to celebrate the `International Women in Maths' day, SDU will host a conference from May 11 to May 12 2023 with a special aim to bring female mathematicians together to communicate, collaborate and support each other. We hope that, with a more supportive environment and positive role models, we can encourage and convince more young and promising women mathematicians to stay in the field.
