Summary

The human-eye can only perceive a small amount of the electromagnetic spectrum and a lot of information is hidden to us. However, digital technologies such as hyperspectral imaging allow us to take images that this information also visible to us. The goal of this project is to develop novel experiences based on these technologies to explore art works for museum visitors in Augmented- and Virtual Reality. It will be done together with NTNU in Norway and the Munch Museum in Oslo, to give visitors the ability to experience well known masterpieces in completely new ways. For example, will we use Augmented Reality to let visitors explore the early stages of the drawing and get a better understanding of how the artist originally worked.
