Summary
4000 years ago, the Dilmun kingdom based on Bahrain in the Persian Gulf colonized the island of Failaka in Kuwait to support their trade with the cities of Mesopotamia. The final publication of the Danish excavations describes how fragile the settlement on the island was, constantly exposed to the changing politics between Dilmun and Mesopotamia, alternating between stability and conflict.
