Summary

The aim is to establish a CORE facility for the free-living worm Caenorhabditis elegans. C. elegans will be used to express drug targets from parasitic worms, hence serve as a surrogate for parasitic worms in drug testing and circumvent the use of experimental animals. C. elegans will also be used as a screening tool for identifying novel antiparasitic drugs and test environmental pollutants.
