Summary

Glycogen is the storage form of glucose and closely linked to fatigue and normal muscle function, while the precise mechanisms are far from understood. Here we aim to combine our competences to further elucidate and explain the role of glycogen in regulating vital functions in the cell, with special emphasis on autoimmune myopathies and the pathophysiological mechanisms of muscle weakness.
