Summary

This project builds on three components: (1) a unique rock sample collection from mineral deposits in Greenland, (2) access to thermodynamic data, and (3) the application of cutting-edge analysis using a new Raman microscope (this grant). This allows us to develop comprehensive models of alkaline magmas that form the rare earth element deposits, which are essential for the green energy transition.
