This book investigates how the algorithms and AI-systems matter for citizens’ imaginaries as collective publics and for the role of the media in cultivating those publics. It unfolds how personalisation algorithms are encoded and embedded in larger structures of data power and it unfolds the decoding in citizens everyday lives, as citizens both adapt to and resist the algorithmic paths.
