Summary

Volatile organic compounds (VOC) produced by marine algae can influence climate. It is therefore important to evaluate oceanic VOC production, especially in ecologically vulnerable regions such as the Arctic. To measure how much VOC is released from the Arctic Ocean into the atmosphere, we aim to build a floating chamber that can automatically sample VOC in difficult conditions of the open sea.
