Ideas in the Making presents a pioneering account of how ideas in creative work are not solely mental constructs, but also strongly shaped by the tools we use. Drawing on real-life case studies of how ideas emerge and evolve in professional creative work, the monograph analyses how ideas emerge from and are shaped by creative practitioners' interaction with tools throughout creative processes.
