Summary

Coastal ecosystems like salt marshes are important for nutrient cycling and greenhouse gas emissions. This project proposes a 3-months research stay at Georgia Institute of Technology to establish access to and long-term collaboration on subtropical coastal sites, with the goal to explore cable bacteria populations, their interaction with plants, and their role for greenhouse gas emissions.
