Summary
The field trip researches qilaat, or Greenlandic drum singing and dancing, in North Greenland, specifically the Thule region. The research investigates the cultural and environmental meanings that Thule qilaat engages and communicates as well as the qilaat’s sounds and movements. It will result in two peer-reviewed articles and continuing research collaborations with Thule qilaat experts.
