This conference aim is to encourage cross-disciplinary dialogue on the seemingly opposing poles of 'home' and 'displacement' in ancient Mediterranean and West Asian cultures, promoting a more integrated approach to the topic. This will lead to a deepened historical understanding of the social, cultural, and political values underlying the concepts of 'home' and 'displacment' in the ancient world.
