Summary

The research group is transforming ice drill towers and inflatable drill tents to lightweight and state-of-the-art modular units. The equipment will be used to recover basal material from the drill hole at the top point of the Greenland ice sheet and to determine the ice flow at all the central Greenland drill sites. The research will lead to added understanding of the stability of the Greenland ice sheet.
