What?
This project explores how workplace organizations can balance their emphasis on teamwork and community-oriented values with Generation Z's preferences for personalization, flexibility, and diversity. Drawing inspiration from professional sports, it aims to develop strategies for successfully integrating Generation Z into the workforce, ultimately boosting job satisfaction and reducing stress.
Why?
As Generation Z enters the workforce, their expectations challenge conventional organizational structures that emphasize teamwork and collective goals. Understanding and addressing this shift is crucial for promoting employee well-being and fostering high-performing organizations. My research aims to illuminate pathways for both organizations and employees to thrive in this evolving landscape.
How?
I will conduct in-depth ethnographic research to explore insights from professional sports, business communities, and Generation Z. Following this, I will organize collaborative workshops designed to facilitate interdisciplinary discussions and develop ideas and solutions that foster innovative approaches for successfully integrating Generation Z into diverse work environments.
