Summary

Understanding the mechanisms underlying subcellular transport of small biomolecules and drugs is crucial for design of novel therapies against human diseases. However, tracking those molecules in cells is difficult. An automated ultraviolet-sensitive fluorescence microscope will enable us to track drugs, lipids and hormones accurately in cells and tissues. This will radically advance our research.
