Summary
Coral reefs face serious threats from climate change, including warming oceans and acidification. A new method called sensPIV allows visualization of oxygen movement around coral surfaces, showing that tiny currents might play a big role for coral health. An upcoming field study at the Great Barrier Reef aims to explore how various coral species use these flows to adapt to environmental changes.
