Summary
In quantum sensing and characterisation of materials and biological samples free electrons from radicals, metals etc. are a valuable source of information. EPR measures signals from these electrons - and thereby serve as a reporter on the local environment around the free electrons. This may be used for nanoscale structural characterisation and in systematic development of quantum sensors.
