Summary
The focus of this project is to probe neuromodulatory substrates of slow-paced breathing. The project apply new technological developments in conscious humans for measuring monoamine signaling (dopamine, serotonin, and noradrenaline). Leveraging the knowledge about how slow-paced breathing modulates monoaminergic substrates can open the door to potential mechanisms involved in anxiety disorders.
