Summary
Copepods are keystone species in marine food webs and ecosystems. This field trip to Arctic Station in Greenland will investigate how sensitive Arctic copepods are to global change by measuring the copepods’ metabolic responses to different temperatures and salinities, as metabolic rate sets energy use and allocation and is used in models to predict species distributions and ecosystem impact.
