N.F.S. Grundtvig – en biografi firmly establishes and critically examines what we actually know and do not know about the life of N.F.S. Grundtvig. Based on primary sources alone it challenges a series of assumptions that have been taken for granted in the existing literature on Grundtvig. It challenges Grundtvig's self image and it presents new interpretations of his role in 19th Century Denmark.
