Purpose
The purpose of Digital Research Infrastructure is to provide funding for the procurement or establishment of digital infrastructure for addressing key scientific questions in the field, that could not be addressed otherwise. While the Carlsberg Foundation encourages interdisciplinary research, there must be a strong humanities or social sciences aspect.
Who?
The applicant must be a tenured associate professor, senior researcher or professor.
The applicant must be employed at a level equivalent to at least 80 % effort at one or more Danish research institutions throughout the grant period.
What?
The minimum amount that can be applied for is DKK 300,000. There is no maximum amount.
It is only possible to apply for funding for the procurement or establishment of digital infrastructure:
- Procurement of register data
- Access to databases
- Establishing databases and text corpora
In cases involving the establishment of databases it is possible to apply for salary for a research assistant for a period of up to 12 months. The research assistant must hold a Master's or PhD degree and may only be employed to construct new infrastructure, not to maintain or operate existing systems.
