Resumé
With this grant award we will establish a novel in vitro bioassay platform for high-throughput screening within environmental toxicology. The award will support the procurement of a state-of-the-art multimode plate reader platform for use in a wide range of biological assays. The in vitro assay platform will, for instance, enable us to study the impact of environmental pollutants on the activity of enzymes involved in the endocrine system or their binding to hormone receptors. This grant award will support several ongoing national and international research projects investigating environmental endocrine disruptors.
