Chromatographic equipment for studies of microbial communities

The chromatographic equipment (High Pressure Anion Exchange Chromatography and Gas Chromatography) will be applied for a range of research activities at Center for Microbial Communities and at Section of Biotechnology at Aalborg University. Main focus will be on studies of microbial communities related to bioenergy production and removal/recovery of phosphate from wastewater where analyses of growth conditions, substrate consumption and and production of metabolites are essential. The equipment replaces outdated equipment and is essential for our research into microbial communities and their informed management for a sustainable development.
