Resumé
"Metabolic disease has a wide range of causes and consequences. With this funding, my group will determine the regulation and physiological importance of understudied metabolites in cardiovascular and metabolic disease. I will also collaborate with other researchers to understand metabolite regulation of hormone secretion and muscle health and the consequences of disease on these metabolites. The projects will increase understanding of metabolic perturbations to lead to new treatments, improve quality of life and reduce healthcare costs."
