MAP kinases in regeneration and immunity

MAP kinases are cellular hubs that, for example, activate immune responses and regeneration. We identified a MAP kinase pathway in wound-induced regeneration in the moss Physcomitrella. Immunity and wound responses often trigger the same reactions, but our data suggest we can distinguish regeneration from immunity. Here, we aim to investigate if the MAP kinase pathway is immune compromised.
