Hormones regulating blood glucose and food intake

Glucagon regulates liver metabolism of glucose, lipids and amino acids, but how do these metabolites regulate glucagon secretion? Gut hormones (in particular GLP-1) regulate food intake and insulin secretion, but how is the secretion of the gut hormones regulated? These are our research questions which we try to answer measuring these hormones using live preparations of gut and pancreas.
