Optical Mapping system for studying heart rhythm disorders

Coordinated electrical activation of the heart is responsible for normal heart function. Disturbance arises when abnormal electrical signals are triggered. To understand the mechanism of heart rhythm disturbances, we must gain a deeper insight into how abnormal electrical signals spread in the heart. Acquiring an optical mapping system will allow us to map this with unprecedented precision.
