Matchpoints2020

Denmark and Germany in Europe – Cooperation, Conflict and Future Challenges reflects the 100th anniversary of the unification of Nordschleswig/Sønderjylland with Denmark and the naming of 2020 as a year of Danish-German cultural friendship. More fundamentally, the theme is justified by the fact that the two countries share a common European history characterized by conflict as well as cooperation. The last aspect is dominant today and is important to explore in a period of vital societal challenges at the national, the European and global level. Being a meeting place for academics, politicians, business and the media, MatchPoints2020 aims at creating a Danish-German-European platform for discussing and confronting the societal challenges of today and tomorrow.
